What did you do last summer?

Well, first of all last summer seemed very short for me. Usually pleasant and nice time seems to fly . Some would say time is nice when the weather is fine. It was still nice even if the weather was not ideal, or maybe it was because I had all the four seasons in just one day. Can you guess where I was?? Yes, in Britain again, this time in Cambridge.

In the morning it could be freezing cold and raining while at noon it was pure summer time with high temperatures. You can understand then why an Englishman always carries his/her umbrella and a raincoat. This much about the weather, although (and maybe that is why) talking about weather is as common as 'how are you' in England.
It was a pleasant time because I enjoy learning new things and meeting new people. About 250 teachers from all over the world met in Homerton College Campus in Cambridge to learn about teaching methods and to improve professionally.

This was my group: Italy, France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Hungary, Romania, Vietnam, Qatar, and of course Britain.
It's a place which I heartfully recommend before/when you become a business manager and just in case you may want to improve your Business English.
I had a lot of wonderful experiences there: I had cream tea with scones in an exquisite Orchard TeaHouse , then I punted on the river Cam,saw Shakespeare plays in open air performances during the evenings, visited the famous colleges and saw Newton's apple, and of course I did some shopping.I had the chance to visit the British country side which I love most, the seaside and of course to revisit London.

How about you? How was your summer holiday? Did you do something special? Don't give up if you just followed your routine, think of a special day, there must have been one which you remember and which had something special. Use photos you took (decent ones, though :-)) and tell your story.
